• Question: Do you think that in 200-300 years time that computers will be able to function as well as the human brain does now?

That’s a really good question…..it is scary how much computers can already do! What I do know is that computers which take over the jobs of parts of our bodies are already become common in medicine. So people who have diabetes can have an artificial pancreas put inside them which will monitor their blood glucose and release insulin when necessary. Others, who have had a limb removed, are able to control that metal limb with their brain, because the computer in the limb has been wired into their nervous system, and they can do things like lift coke cans for a drink with their artificial hand! These things are amazing feats of technology and were only developed over the last few years…..that makes the future exciting for technology in health and medicine.
