When we are born we have 270 bones in our body, but as we grow, some fuse together (like the bones in our head) and when we are adult, we have 206 bones. Our bones make up our skeleton, and the bones help provide protection for all the organs in our body, they help support our body so we can stand and move, and because our muscle are attached to the bones, when the muscles contract they pull against the bones, and thats how we move!
