I found science quite hard at school, but the more I studied it the more iterested I became in how the human body worked. When I went to university to study Sport and Exercise Science I really enjoyed physiology, and that is the subject I have carried on doing in my career. The best thing about my job is that I still get to learn new things about phsiology all the time, and do experiments, so it’s just like still being at school!

Same as Emma, I was actually rubbish at Science in school! But it still interested me, especially Biology.
I used to work in a bank and realised it wasn’t for me and wanted to re-train as something else so went to University in Manchester and had the two choices of History or Physiology as I found these the most interesting and lumped for Physiology. I couldn’t be happier I did that! Then loved doing experiments in the lab so did a Masters by research and carried this onto PhD where I am now!
You have to do what interests you otherwise it’ll just get really boring!

I wanted to be a rugby player and i just wanted to know how to train my body and what happened to it with training. At school i wasn’t really that keen on physics and chemistry but i really enjoyed biology and understanding humans.
