      Hi jjj01,

I’m not sure really! I think our own bodies are pretty well tuned now and our brain is the most powerful microchip going! If we can develop something which reacts faster than the human brain then we’ve outdone ourselves like in terminator or somehting like that!
Our bodies can handle all kinds of pressures really quickly, receptors all over our bodies give information to our brains, it processes it, then sends signals back to the body to deal with it, its called homeostasis, and humans are mega at it.
For example, you get into an ice cold bath, you instantly start shivering, this is your body telling your brain you’re cooling down too fast for all of your bodies processes to work properly at around 38C. The brain processes this as quick as a flash and tells your muscles to start moving fast (shivering) to produce heat. Your blood vessels also constrict (get smaller) which brings them further into your body, because your blood is warm this keeps your body a normal temperature internally.
Until microchips can do all of that in a human body and more, then I think our brains and nervous systems are the better option!
