      Yes, I have travelled quite a bit with my job, doing research experiments. Usually we visit other countries because there is something there that we haven’t got here in England, or we can’t do in the laboratory. Like really high mountains! Scarfell, the highest mountain in England is 978m, whereas I have travelled to the Himalayas in Nepal where I have been able to studies how humans function when living at 5050m – something we wouldn’t be able to do in the UK.

      I also did some research about how the nerves and muscles cope when people ride the Tour de France cycle race – that’s 3500 km of cycling in 21 days. It would be really boring riding for 6 hours a day for 3 weeks in the laboratory, plus it can’t replicare cycling over mountain passes, so we had to go to France and do the actual route with our participants.
