Question: What is the highest anyone has climbed

Mount Everest is the worlds highest mountain, standing at 8848 m (thats 9 times the height of the tallest mountain in England!), and over 5000 poeple have climbed to this highest point on earth. Its very dangerous climbing this high though, and over 200 people have dies whilst trying to summit Everest (interestingly, a lot of these people die on their way down from the top of the mountain, rather than on their way up, or whilst at the top).
