I love the idea that even though we run around doing sport and exercise, and our body is so good at it, we still don’t fully understand how we do it. So part of becoming a phsyiologist was to keep learning about how our bodies allow us to do amazing things like run marathons, climb mounatins or free dive to 200m!

I am also very passionate about the fact that Exercise is free medicine. there is lots of research that tells us that you are more likely to stay healthy throughout life and into older age if you do some form of exercise that makes you out of breath, at least 5 times a week. People who do this are much less likely to have heart disease, diabetes, cancer and other long term diseases. Isn’t it cool that just by moving around and being active we can keep ourselves so healthy!
